The Seashell Restaurant, located across the street from the long-shuddered Coco Palms Resort, has been closed since Hurricane Iniki struck the island on Sept. 11, 1992. The Shell Building was built in 1970 and hosted Hollywood celebrities, honeymooners and local date-nights until Mother Nature had her way.
