Next stop. Nowhere.

Aloha Railways. Sold out.

Each island has its own tale of railways—some heroic, others touching, a few tragic. It is a history of industry, nature and humanity. Man’s attempt to conquer mountains and valleys would forge a path to Hawaii’s plantation life that helped shape what Hawaii is today.

Hawaii's earliest history with railroads is owed to the first system that opened in 1881 on a few short miles of narrow track that was used to pull sugar cane, and ignited Hawaii’s sugar rush.
