The last shell.

Conched out

Coco Palms was known for many things. Elvis. Men in loincloths. Elvis. Torch-lighting. Elvis. Lagoons, swaying palms and aloha spirit. Elvis. And, there was one more thing...

…Conch shell sinks.

Rooms were adorned with conch shells as vanities. Today, they are a prized catch. Every now and then you run someone who with one in their home, or an old-timer using it as birdbath. After Iniki dealt her blow, they were sold off by sellers, swiped by vandals, scavenged and scattered about. But they are out there, if you know where to look.

The last shell has become shelter to seedlings and earth.
